Holy cow! Android now has a Linux terminal. I'm writing this in Emacs on my tablet, and it's great! I'm sure yet whether whether this is going to change my life, but it's certainly cooler than buying a new notebook to program a little on. It even does graphical apps (e.g. Emacs). It runs in a container, which is nice, as I don't want to bork my table messing around. I just hope I don't lose all my work every time I turn the VM off. It already died once, although I think that might have been my fault when I updated the distro. Not a great idea with things like this...

This is actually perfect timing for me. I was just looking to pick up a refurbished ThinkPad. It's way harder than I thought it would be. I want an English keyboard, and almost all of the machines I found had German. I had found one, but the price went up nearly 200€ overnight and I decided against it. Good thing too. I'm not sure what I'll do with the couple of hundred euros I saved, but I'm sure it will be something great =)
